.Hot oatmeal
Steel Cut Oats.
You will need a pressure cooker but this method takes 15 minutes (most of that unattended).
Take 1 cup steel cut oats, 3 to 3.5 cups water, 1 tblsp of butter pinch of salt..
Put oats, butter and salt in cooker on med heat, allow butter to melt and oats to warm up. Add water and put top on cooker and heat to the standard pressure setting (15 psi). Cook for 12 minutes. Release pressure, remove top and stir in additions of your choice (brown sugar, raisins, butter, cream, milk, maple syrup, jam, berries, etc. etc.).
This makes 2-3 servings. Cut oats and water in half if you are only serving yourself.
Egg frittata or egg omelletes. Just beat a couple of eggs up with diced onion, bits of cheese, ham if you have it and fry it. Eat with sliced tomatoes, cukes, etc.. Have yoghurt mixed with fresh fruit and granola. Then there’s pancakes, french toast and waffles, hash browns with scrambled eggs, western sandwiches. Just use your imagination, you can put anything in scrambled eggs and it will be good and good for you.
